how to protect your family from Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are here already. We’re barely out of the winter, but many parts of the country have seen unseasonably warm weather and rain.
This means that in the coming weeks, we will start to see the first appearance of mosquitoes.
Second, whatever you do, make sure your dog is getting heart worm preventives.
Mosquitoes do bite dogs and they can spread heart worms, which can be very dangerous.
Third, if you’re going to cover yourself with chemical mosquito repellent, make sure you avoid harsh pesticides like DEET.
These chemicals can be toxic to your dog if he or she licks it off or gets it in their eyes. And they’re probably not great for you either.
But why even risk it? You can now protect yourself against mosquitoes, completely naturally, without any kind of chemicals.
It might sound crazy, but all it takes is specific sound frequencies to chase mosquitoes away. Scientists in Japan proved it just last year.
According to the MosquitoBlock website, this bracelet DEET also works to repel (or confuse) all sorts of other pests as well.
This includes spiders, flies, ants, roaches, and even rodents like mice or rats. Honestly, I can’t speak to this directly because I’ve only used it to protect myself against mosquitoes.
But it might be useful for you to know if you’ve got other pests that bother you.
And here’s one more interesting thing. The original scientists who studied these sound frequencies found they interrupt mosquitoes when breeding. You know what that means? When you go out and wear a MosquitoBlock bracelet, you’re not only protecting yourself against getting bitten.
You’re actually stopping the spread of these blood-sucking monsters, so they will be less of an annoyance in the future.
And now, a startup has produced a small wearable bracelet to take advantage of this discovery. If you want to find out more about it, check this out:
